CAIRO: Egyptian security forces have intensified a search for a Saudi girl mission for days after last being seen on Cairo streets, Saudi newspaper Okaz reported Thursday.
Egyptian Ministry of Interior coordinated with the Saudi embassy in Cairo to get more information on the girl, Ministry spokesperson Abu Bakr Abdel-Karim said.
The newspaper did not reveal the girl’s name and age and the reasons of her presence in Cairo.
Last week, a Saudi woman and her Kuwaiti daughter were found murdered and thrown into a well in Upper Egypt’s Samalout city of Minya, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Interior in a statement Saturday.
The two victims had been abducted by an Egyptian man, a farm owner, who convinced them to visit Cairo ostensibly to buy an apartment, the Ministry added, noting that the culprit killed them and duped their bodies into a 20-meter well.
