CAIRO: Actor Morgan Freeman headed for Luxor Thursday to resume filming his new National Geographic documentary series entitled ‘The Story of God,” officials at Cairo airport told Youm7.
Freeman, 78 is expected to visit landmarks of Luxor including Karnak Temple and the Valley of The Kings; the seat of the tomb of Egypt’s Pharaoh Tutankhamen.
The Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning star landed in Cairo Sunday where he shot scenes for his documentary in the city’s landmarks including the Egyptian Museum and Islamic Cairo.
He is scheduled to meet with Egyptian Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou in Cairo.
“The Story of God” is scheduled to air in 2016 on National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Mundo in the U.S. and globally in 171 countries and 45 languages, according to variety.com.
