CAIRO: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA) has warned that there will be between eight to 10 degrees drop in temperature and heavy rains on Sunday, urging citizens to wear heavy clothes when they are outdoors.
The authority expected the low temperature to continue until Tuesday.
Temperature degree in Cairo Saturday recorded 32°C during the day, 25°C at night, according to EMA.
On Friday, a sudden dust cloud, escorted with active wind was seen looming over Cairo in the afternoon. The change in weather has caused four ports in Suez governorate to be closed.
Meteorological reports said that the country will witness “turbulent weather” within the next 72 hours, which will affect the navigational movement at the Red Sea and Mediterranean.
On Tuesday, a dust storm swept through the Upper Egypt’s governorate of Aswan evening causing power cuts and low visibility on the roads.
