CAIRO: Egypt will host the 25th plenary session of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) from Dec. 8-10, 2015, Al Ahram reported.

Egypt hosting is per a protocol signed Thursday between the President of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority Mahmoud al-Zanaty and the AFCAC Secretary General Iyabo O. Sosina.

“The event will be attended by nearly 300 representatives of 54 African countries members of the General Assembly, as well as many international and regional experts and leaders of the global civil aviation system,” Zanaty was quoted by Al Ahram.

He noted that selecting Egypt to host the event reflects the  “importance of the pioneering role played in the African continent, and confirms the international and regional status enjoyed by Egypt in the field of the air transport industry.”
