Chadian diplomat busted at Cairo airport for hash possession

CAIRO: Authorities at the Cairo International Airport briefly detained a Chadian diplomat for possession of hashish, Al Masry Al Youm reported Sunday.

Ahmed A. Taher, son of the Chadian presidency representative, was arrested at the airport in possession of four hash joints in transit to the UAE, an airport source told Al Masry Al Youm.

The airport authorities have informed officials at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry who recommended all legal procedures be taken against the passenger, and a police report on the incident was filed with the airport authorities.

In August, Qatari diplomat   Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Hajri was arrested for the possession of cannabis at the airport, Youm7 reported.
