CAIRO: A car bomb attack was reported early Wednesday morning in North Sinai’s city of Arish, leaving three deaths and five injuries among police, according to Sky News.
The attack has taken place near Police officers’ Club in Arish, and caused damages to its façade.
Residents reported hearing huge explosion sound. A burning car was found at the blast site, and the façade of nearby buildings were affected.
Medical sources, quoted by Youm7, said that the injured are being transferred to hospitals for treatment.

Similar attacks, leaving hundreds of army and police forces killed, have taken place on a wide scale by militant groups, which flourished in the peninsula since the 2013 ouster of President Mohamed Morsi.
