CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) extended its winning streak Thursday, pushed by an investor upbeat sentiment among local institutions and Arab retailers.
The benchmark index EGX30 edged up 1.23 percent to end at 7,542 points, up from points 7,450 on Wednesday.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 rose 1.54 percent to close at 397.3 points, compared to 391.3 points in its last session.
Similarly, the broader index EGX100 added 1.0 percent to close at 852.5 points after 844.1 points on Wednesday.
Market capitalization gained around 3.6 billion EGP ($448.26 million,) totaling 452.3 billion EGP, compared to 448.7 billion EGP in the previous session.
