CAIRO: A video has been circulating on social media for a young man using chairs to create a bridge for passersby to cross flooded streets in Mansura city in Egypt’s Delta.
Mansura is the capital of Dakahlia governorate, which has witnessed heavy showers over the past few days of unstable weather.
The governorate announced day off Thursday for schools and governmental installations after rainwater inundated main streets and caused traffic congestion.
Some hilarious videos surfaced for citizens dealing with flooded streets in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, the most affected governorate of the bad weather struck the country.
Last week, a video circulated on social media showing a bulldozer carrying citizens across the streets flooded with rainwater in Alexandria. The clip was captured and posted by Taht el-Ekhtbar You Tube account.

Another video showed a man sitting in a raft and pulled by another man next to buses and cars also moving in the water pools filling several main streets in Alexandria. The video was posted Wednesday by Ammar Meroo You Tube channel.

Another video, posted on Oct. 31 by Mohamed Ali El-Kut on his Facebook page, witnessed hilarious comments by social media users, as it showed a man carrying people to help them crossing to the other side of the street for one pound each.
