JERUSALEM: Israeli police say a Palestinian attacker was shot dead after ramming his vehicle into a group of Israelis on the side of a West Bank road, wounding three of them.

Police spokeswoman Luba Samri says one of the Israelis was seriously wounded in Sunday’s attack. She says paramilitary officers opened fire on the attacker, killing him.

Since mid-September, 11 Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks, most of them stabbings, while 72 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including 45 who Israel said were involved in attacks or attempted attacks. The other 27 Palestinians were killed in clashes between stone-throwers and security forces.

In addition to stabbings, Palestinians have also used vehicles to attack Israelis.
