6 high school students injured in a shooting triggered by scuffles

CAIRO: At least six high school students were injured by birdshots in a fight that escalated control at Al Kamel School in Egypt’s Delta governorate of Dakahlia Tuesday, Youm7 reported.

The shooting occurred among grade 11 students outside the classroom right after the afternoon break. It followed a scuffle the occurred in the previous day among a group of rival students, according to Youm7.

The six injured students were transferred to al Mansoura General Hospital while policemen at the Mansoura security directorate rushed to the school. An investigation has been opened to identify the implicated students.
