CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) extended its losing streak Wednesday as foreign institutions continued their sell-offs.
The benchmark index EGX30 lost 0.33 percent to end at 6,802 points, down from 6,825 points on Tuesday.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 fell 0.31 percent to close at 362.4 points, compared to 363.52 points in its last session.
Similarly, the broader index EGX100 edged down 0.46 percent to close at 786.53 points after 790.2 points on Tuesday.
Market capitalization lost around 1.3 billion EGP ($161.9 million,) totaling 424.5 billion EGP, compared to 425.8 billion EGP in the previous session.
