CAIRO: Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz has directed Saudi Arabian Airlines to continue operation of flights to Sharm el-Sheikh to support of Egypt’s tourism in the wake of a Russian plane crash, Al Wafd reported Thursday.

The Saudi king has stressed his “full confidence” in the Egyptian security forces to maintain the security and stability of the country.

Saudi Airlines is currently running two flights to Sharm al Sheikh daily; one from The Saudi capital Riyadh and the other from Jeddah.

Several airlines have indefinitely suspended their flights to Sharm al Sheikh after reports that a bomb may have caused the crash of the Russian flight that killed 224 people Oct. 31.
