1 ton of hash seized in Port Said

CAIRO: Administrative Monitoring Authority in Port Said City, northeast Egypt, foiled Friday an attempt to smuggle a ton of hashish inside the country, Youm7 reported.

The load of the drug was seized at East Port Said port hidden in a container filled with apples coming from Syria.

The seizures were confiscated and the smugglers were referred to prosecution for investigations into the incident.

On Wednesday, Port Said customs Authority was informed through intelligence sources about an attempt to smuggle used and prohibited medical devices. Accordingly, five containers coming from China were stopped at the port and the medical devices were seized.
