CAIRO:Egypt advanced to the final round of African qualifying for the 2018 World Cup with a 4-0 win over Chad on Tuesday.
The Egyptian football team, supported by 25,000 fans at Borg Al Arab stadium, scored all the four goals in the first half. Two of the goals were scored in the first tem minutes of the game.
The Pharaohs were handed a surprise 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chad in the first leg match played at the Chadian capital N’Djamena Sunday.
According to FIFA World cup regulations, winners of the second-round games will be divided into five groups of four teams each with the leaders of each group automatically qualifying for the 2018 World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia.
