JERUSALEM: Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard was released from prison in the United States on Friday after being behind bars since his arrest in 1985, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

“The people in Israel welcomes the release of Jonathan Pollard,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “After three long and hard decades, Jonathan is finally reunited with his family.
