Egypt’s FM visits South Korea and Japan

CAIRO: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has embarked Saturday on a two-country tour includes South Korea and Japan to bolster bilateral cooperation in political, economic and trade fields, Youm7 reported.

The seven-day tour comes ahead President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s visit to the two countries scheduled for early 2016; Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid was quoted by Youm7.

During his visit to Seoul, Shoukry will hold talks with South Korea’s new prime minister, Hwang Kyo-ahn along with representatives from the Federation of Korean Industries Korea International Trade Association and Chairman of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, according to Abu Zeid.

In Japan, Shoukry is scheduled to meet with representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC,) he added.
