Memorial erected in Sharm al Sheikh to mourn terrorism victims

CAIRO: Sharm al Sheikh City Council erected a temporary memorial in commemoration of victims who were killed in the Russian airliner that crashed over Sinai late October, Al Ahram reported Sunday.

Located in Naama bay side walk, “the memorial is not only to commemorate the crashed Russian plane victims but also to mourn all victims of terrorism worldwide,” South Sinai governor Khaled Fouda was quoted by Al Ahram Saturday.

The memorial has banners with “Against Terrorism” written in several languages including Arabic, English and Russian.

On Oct., 31, a Russian airliner crashed over Egypt’s Sinai killing all 224 people aboard.
