CAIRO: A team from the Egyptian presidency left for Paris Wednesday to prepare for Egypt’s participation in the Climate Change Conference, Youm7 reported.
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will travel to France by the end of November to partake in the summit, along with 138 international leaders Nov. 30 to Dec. 11. The president is expected to hold several talks with world leaders to discuss regional and international developments.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry also left on South Korea Saturday; he will also visit Japan in a visit that lasts for a week to hold talks related to an upcoming official visit by Sisi. The Asian tour is primarily economic as Egypt promotes projects on the Suez Canal axis.
Sisi’s Asian visit has not been fixed but is expected in January, according to news reports. Meanwhile, Shoukry is holding meetings with major Asian businesses and ministers.
