CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi headed for Paris Sunday to participate in the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC,) according to presidential statement.

“Egypt’s participation at the conference this year is of increased importance given that Sisi chairs the Committee of African Heads of State on Climate Change (CAHOSCC).Egypt also assumes the chairmanship of the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment, AMCEN. At the conference, Egypt will therefore defend Africa’s interests in relation to the various climate change issues and causes,” said the statement.
