Police academy student shoots 3 wedding guests in Delta’s Mahala

CAIRO: Three people were injured by birdshots when a police academy student opened fire at them after an altercation among them in al-Mahala al-Kobra city in Delta’s al-Gharbia, Youm7 reported Tuesday.

Both sides quarreled over who should pass first with his car near al-Mahala Sports club; the brawl escalated and the student, called Ahmed A., took his friend’s gun and shot the three people who were wedding guests.

After being arrested for hours, the prosecution released the students and his friend, secondary school student, on a bail of 20,000 EGP (about $2,554) for each pending investigations.
