CAIRO: The coordinator of a protest by holders of master’s degrees was released on a bail of 5,000 EGP ($638,) Tuesday, Youm7 reported.
Dozens of protesters were arrested Sunday after they refused to disperse their protest; they were shortly released without investigations.
The protest, which was held in downtown Cairo then moved to Tahrir Square, demanded that they be appointed in state positions per their degrees.
The coordinator of the demonstration, identified as Mahmoud A., was not released among the protesters as he was charged with inciting blocking roads and disrupting transportation.
The 2013 protest law, under which thousands have been detained in the past two years, stipulates that no protest may be held without a prior permit.
