Cold weather looms in Cairo; temperature drops to 12 at night

CAIRO: A cold weather is expected to loom in Cairo and the north coast on Saturday, with temperature slightly drop in some parts, according to Meteorological experts.

According to Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA,) Cairo will see 19 C during the day and 12 at night. Over the past few days, Cairo temperature dropped to  20 C during the day, and 13 C at night.

EMA also expected showers to occur at north coastal cities, escorted with active wind, which increases the feel of coldness. The authority warned of disruption of maritime navigation.

Expected temperature in coastal cities is: Alexandria 19 C during the day and 13 at night, while Marsa Matrouh 19 C during the day and 11 C at night.

In South Sinai Peninsula, Saint Catherine and Taba records lowest temperature degrees, with 11 C during the day and 4 C at night and 16 during the day and 6 at night respectively.

Heading to south of Egypt, where temperature typically increases; Aswan sees 23 C day – 12 C at night, while Shalateen sees 27 C and 16 C at night.
