CAIRO: A wave of cold weather that arrived in Egypt over the past days is expected to relent starting from Monday and until Thursday, according to Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA.)
Temperatures at night will continue to be low in Cairo reaching 10 C, while Central Sinai will see frost; Saint Catherine will see -1 C at night.
In the north coast, rains are expected along with active wind, which causes maritime disturbance.
Egyptians took to Twitter and launched hashtags reacting to the cold weather as approaching the winter season.
One of the hashtags translates to “Worst thing in the winter,” where users shared some tongue-in-cheek responses like: sickness, laziness, inconsistence in diets, becoming a couch potato and having a frozen nose.
