CAIRO: Security forces have arrested a fourth suspect in the recent firebomb attack on a nightclub in Cairo’s district of Agouza that killed 17 people, Youm7 reported.
“The suspect was arrested Monday evening in an apartment located at Giza’s 6 October City in possession of firearm,” security source told Youm7 Monday.
There are three suspects currently in a four-day detention pending investigation into the incident.
Two of them were arrested Friday night in Suez, according to the Facebook page of the Interior Ministry.
Heavy black smoke was caught on camera rising from the doorway of the El-Sayyad restaurant and night club, which is windowless with only one exit, causing the trapped staff to suffocate due to poor ventilation.
The attackers, who wore masks and rode a motorbike, hurled Molotov cocktails at the restaurant doorway causing a huge fire that caught the wooden façade and extended to the interior.
