CAIRO: An Egyptian footballer was arrested for driving a vehicle with no license plates or driver’s license in addition to possessing a narcotic substance, Youm7 reported Thursday.
Al Sayed Hamdy, Misr El-Maqasah Sporting Club striker who also played for Al Ahly SC, was arrested while driving his unregistered car in Cairo’s district of Shubra al Kheima.
The arrest was made when a police patrol spotted the Hamdy’s suspicious behavior. After searching the car, six Tramadol pills and a Viagra pill were found, Youm7 reported.
He was taken to the police station for questioning before the Shubra al Kheima prosecution opened investigation in the incident.
