CAIRO: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz will visit Egypt “very soon,” ambassador Ahmed Qattan announced in a Thursday news conference.
The visit will culminate in several agreements, Qattan said, adding that the reduction in oil prices will not affect the Kingdom’s support to Egypt.
Since he was crowned in January following the death of his brother King Abdullah, King Salman visited Sharm el-Sheikh in March to attend the Arab League convention.
Sisi met with King Salman in Riyadh in an official visit earlier in the same month.
Some news outlets reported that King Salman was planning to visit Egypt in September after his visit to Washington, but the plan was abruptly changed due to disagreements with Cairo.
Riyadh has provided Cairo with massive economic and political supporter following the 2013 ouster of President Mohamed Morsi.
