CAIRO: Tap water will be cut off in the areas of Sariaat el Maadi, New Maadi, and Dar el Salaam from 6 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday morning, the Drinking Water Authority told Youm7 Thursday.

Water pressure will be reduced in old Cairo and Sayeda Zeinab, the company stated, adding that reason for the stop in supply is a necessary valve change.

Rolling power outs are commonplace in the summer, although 2015 witnessed many fewer outages than 2014; water outages are also common in the capital, due to localized construction or maintenance.
