CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet Yemen’s Foreign Minister Abdel-Malek al-Mekhlafi Thursday to discuss the situation in Yemen and the issues of mutual concern, Youm7 reported officials from the Egyptian presidential office.
Egypt was one of nine member states that participated in the Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen against the Iran-backed Houthis, who have controlled northern parts of the country since January. Since March the coalition troops have carried out airstrikes against the Houthi militias.
Mekhlafi is visiting Cairo to attend an urgent meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers in the Arab League Thursday, to talk the Turikish military intervention in northern Iraq. The meeting came upon a request from Iraq
