CAIRO: Tap water will be cut off Saturday in several areas in the Mohandessin district in Giza due to works in the Third Phase of the Third Metro line, announced Giza Drinking Water Company in a Friday statement.
The water outage will be begin at 9 a.m. and will last until 3 p.m. on Saturday, according to the company’s statement.
The affected areas include: Hegaz St. from Gameat el-Dowal St. to Syria St.; Wadi el-Nil St. from 26 July St. to Gameat el-Dowal St.; Nabuls St.; Riyad St.; Fawzy Ramah St.; Mohamed Shafiq St.; Yehia Ibrahim St.; El-Falah St.; El-Quds St. and Gezerat el-Arab St.
The Third Phase of the Metro’s Third line extends from Ataba to Imbaba and Beaulac with a length of 18 Km and a total of 16 stations. Works at the third stage is ongoing, with a 7-year timeline set for implementation, according to the Cairo Metro Company.
