CAIRO: Egyptian security forces arrested Monday their “main suspects” of killing four police personnel in a checkpoint south of Giza on Nov. 28, Youm7 reported.
Unidentified masked men on a motorcycle opened fire at a police vehicle in a checkpoint in Sakkara, killing two policemen and two conscripts.
A security official told Youm7 on condition of anonymity as he is not authorized to brief the media that security forces in cooperation with Special Forces stormed a place where the suspects were hidden. the security forces also found the motorcycle used in the attack
Similar attacks targeting police forces have been frequent, with hundreds of fatalities since the 2013 ouster of the President Mohamed Morsi.
