CAIRO: Culture Minister Helmy al-Nammam inaugurated Monday the South Korean-funded center for the documentation of Egypt’s cultural heritage, Youm7 reported.

Located at the Egyptian General Authority For National Library and Archives, the newly-opened center includes digitizing equipments, 84 computers, five switching broadband providers, scanners and units to digitize books and manuscripts.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the South Korean ambassador to Cairo Charg Quang Kayan.

Meanwhile, the Korean Cultural Center will organize a cultural day to get the people acquainted with the Korean culture and the similarities with its Egyptian counterpart.
