CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al Sisi will meet with Iyad bin Amin Madani, secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Cairo Sunday, Youm7 reported.
During the meeting, they will discuss a range of issues listed on the OIC’s agenda including recent political development in the Islamic countries in addition to ways to combat terrorism and extreme ideologies.
Founded in 1969, the OIC consists of 57 member states. The organization is concerned with promoting the moderate teachings of Islam. Madani was elected as chairman of the OIC in December 2013.
