CAIRO: The Giza Zoo announced the hatching of two baby grey parrots and a group of white swans, congratulating its workers for their hard work throughout the last year, according to a Monday post on its Facebook page.
The post highlighted the effort of the zoo staff to maintain a variety of animals and birds.
The year 2015 witnessed several newborns. Two baby spotted hyenas were born in Giza Zoo added to a “beautiful group of hyenas,” announced the Zoo in October.
In September, the Giza Zoo welcomed a newborn rare dorcas gazelle, which is one of the most desert-adapted of all gazelles.
In August, yellow-headed Amazon baby parrots were hatched in the Giza Zoo as part of a captive breeding plan that aims to maintain species of endangered birds and animals.
