Militant Habara sentenced to 10 years for resisting authorities
Adel Habara - YOUM7

CAIRO: The Zagazig Criminal Court sentenced Tuesday Adel Habara to 10 years in prison for resisting arrest and weapons possession in June of 2011, Youm7 reported.

Habara had already received two death sentences in terrorism-related charges; on Nov. 6, the Zaqaziq Criminal Court sentenced him to death over killing a policeman in Egypt’s Delta governorate of Sharqia, and set Dec. 6 to rule a final verdict after taking the Mufti’s opinion, Youm7 reported.

On Sept. 29, the Zagazig Criminal Court sentenced Habara and six other convicts to death over joining and connecting with the Islamic State group(IS); another co-defendant was acquitted.
