CAIRO: Egyptian actor Mamdouh Abdel Alim died Tuesday at the age of 60 after a heart attack, Youm7 reported.
Ashraf Zaki, the head of the Actors’ Syndicate announced the news of Abdel Alim’s death on Hona Al-Asema, a talk show on the CBC network.
Many Egyptian actors mourned the loss of Abdel Alim after the announcement on CBC.
Abdel Alim had recently shared his wishes for the New Year on Twitter saying, “I have many wishes for the new year, the most important ones are wishing for the circumstances of the world to calm down, for the leaders to give up on this madness and head towards peace instead.”
Abdel Alim graduated from the faculty of political science in 1980. He was married to television show host Shafky al-Monayyery. He started his career in children’s programs on radio and on television in 1969 with director Ebraheem Abdul Galeel. The duo formed four children troupes in dancing, singing, and acting.
