CAIRO: A new city in Egypt’s Giza will be named after King Salman Bin Abdelaziz, announced Egyptian Minister of housing Mostafa Madbouly during his bilateral meetings with Saudi Counterpart Majed al-Hogail, Saudi newspaper Akhbar 14 reported Tuesday.

The city has been constructed on 10,000 feddans, the Egyptian Minister noted, discussing other mega projects in the new administrative capital in Egypt; Madbouly added that Egypt is building new 25 cities nationwide.

Madbouly’s remarks came during the two-day meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Coordination Council that kicked off Monday in presence of 10 other Egyptian Ministers of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Petroleum, Planning, Education, Investments, Agriculture, Transportation, and Electrify with their Saudi counterparts in Riyadh.

The meetings came in the third phase of negotiations between both sides; following crystallizing all bilateral agreements in the fifth round of meetings, both President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Saudi Monarch Salman bin Abdulaziz will sign the final agreements.
