CAIRO: The Egyptian Co. For Metro Management and Operation added 30 extra trains into operation on Tuesday until the fourth day of Eid al-Adha, reported Youm7.

Abdullah Fawzy, chairman of Egyptian Co. For Metro Management and Operation, told Youm7 30 trains were added to those already in operation, including 382 in the Marg-Helwan line, 492 in the Shubra-Moneib line and 428 in the Attaba-Abasseya line.

Fawzy added that there are no changes to the working hours of the metro, which starts at 5 am until midnight, in keeping with the curfew.

The chairman said operations room was formed to monitor the flow of the metro throughout Eid and to promptly deal with any breakdowns or attempts at disrupting the metro lines.

He added that the opening of the Anwar Sadat and Giza stations depends on approval from the Ministry of Interior, which has kept the stations closed for security reasons.
