Police officer, conscript shot dead in Giza

CAIRO: A police officer and a conscript were killed Saturday morning after they were shot dead by two unknown assailants in Giza, Youm7 reported.

Colonel Ali Ahmed of Giza traffic department was leaving his home, and his driver was waiting for him inside a police vehicle, when two armed men opened fire at them and hurled Molotov Cocktail at the car. A fire caught the vehicle and the two police personnel were burned to death.

The attackers fled the scene immediately. Security authorities are working to identify the perpetrators.
