CAIRO: Egypt Prime Minister Sherif Ismail will preside over the council of governors meeting for the first time Saturday after the recent governors reshuffle in December that witnessed 11 new faces, Youm7 reported.
Ministers of the economic group will be present during the meeting to review the latest developments of ongoing projects in several governorates.
During the meeting, Ismail will assert the importance to implement directives of President Abdel Sisi’s to provide basic commodities for citizens at reasonable prices and to combat corruption.
On Dec., 27, eleven new regional governors took the constitutional oath before Sisi and Ismail.
The new governors have been appointed for the 11 governorates; namely Sharqia, Minya, Giza, Kafr al Sheikh, Suez, Gharbia, Beni Suef, Alexandria, Aswan, Port Said and Qalyubia.
