Limited fire breaks out in Parliament HQ

CAIRO: A small fire broke out Monday in an administrative annex of the House of Representatives in al-Kasr al-Eini street, Youm7 reported.

All persons were evacuated and firefighters extinguished the blaze, which has been blamed on electricity.

The blaze came amid the resumption of the second procedure session of the newly House of Representatives in three years since the dissolution of the 2012 Parliament.

Meanwhile, an underground store was set on fire in a residential building in Ard al-Lewaa district of Giza.

According to the initial investigations, the fire was caused due to a difference between the store owner and other people.

Firefighting authority sent seven firefighting vehicles and extinguished the blaze.
