CAIRO: The Giza Company for Water and Waste Water (GCWW) has c d vehicles to repair sewers across the governorate, Youm7 reported Saturday.
The cost of a vehicle is estimated at 4 million EGP ($511,000) Hanafy Mohamed, head of GCWW was quoted by Youm7. He added that the company’s old vehicles “are dilapidated.”
The vehicles will carry out maintenance works for the sewage networks and disinfection of the pipes.
Recently, the company tended to cut water for long hours in some districts due to routine maintenance of water pipelines and valve changes during winter season.
Last year, the country was hit by heavy showers leaving many governorates, suffering bad sewage networks, pounded in water. Blamed over poor dealing with the events, the government announced it will fix sewage system across the country.
