CAIRO: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail inaugurated Saturday the Institute of National Planning after two years of renovation work, Youm7 reported.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ashraf al-Araby in addition to several government officials were present at the inauguration ceremony of the institute’s headquarter located in Cairo’s northeast district of Madinet Nasr.
Established under Law No. 231 for the year 1960, the National Planning Institute is as an institution with independent legal personality that aims at promoting research, development studies and planning of national projects and means of their implementation, according to the institute’s website.
It is the first of its kind in North Africa and Middle East.
