CAIRO: Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John O. Brennan arrived in Cairo Saturday to meet several Egyptian officials to discuss security challenges facing the region and the way forward to confront these, Youm7 reported.

Brennan’s visit to Cairo, which is expected to last for two days, is the second since President Abdel Fatah al Sisi assumed office in June 2014.

Egypt supports the US-led coalition against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria but has not taken part in military operations.
