Tourism and real estate sectors to grow

CAIRO: Economic expert Ashraf al-Daba said that the tourism and real estate sectors have recently improved and highlighted the importance of building state institutions to coincide with the completion of the new constitution in the coming days.

Daba said in a statement to Youm7 that the economy has notably improved recently, citing a return to normal levels of tourism after a number of European countries lifted the travel ban imposed against Egypt due to deteriorating security conditions since the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in July.

He expects that the country will witness notable progress in the tourism and real estate sectors, saying that these two interconnected sectors are the base of the economy.

He called for the government to present new projects to Egyptian and foreign investors, adding that such a step could restore foreign investments and reduce unemployment.
