Astrology Ashraf Tadros

CAIRO: Egyptians will be able to see five planets Jan. 20-Feb. 20 in a phenomenon that occurs every 10 years, head of the Department of Astrology Ashraf Tadros told Youm7 Monday.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will appear in the horizon before sunrise, Tadros said, adding that this will recur in 2026.

The brightest of the planets will be Venus, Jupiter and Mars. They appeared together in the sky for an entire month 10 years ago. Meanwhile, Mercury and Saturn are closest to the horizon and thus will disappear with dawn.

Those who would like to see the phenomenon should be far away from city lights, provided that there is no dust, fog or clouds in the sky.

Many Egyptian go on trips to the desert in Fayoum and th eSiwa Oasis, to stargaze and film their movement through the night.
