CAIRO: Two video-equipped explorer robots have been given to the Ministry of Antiquities to film and record previously inaccessible areas within archeological sites, the Ministry announced Wednesday.

German engineer Friedhelm Kremer, who donated the robots, participated in a two-day workshop to train local archeologists to use the devices at the Saqqara pyramid site.

Antiquities Minister Mamdouh Damaty stated that German and Egypt share good cooperation in the field of archeology, and that those trainees from the workshop will prepare an action plan to use this technology in their work.
