Tap water cut in Mahalla city for 12 hours

CAIRO: Tap water will be cut in Mahalla city in Gharbiya governorate on Tuesday for 12 hours due to a valve change in the main feeding line, Youm7 reported Monday.

The outage will begin at 9 p.m. on Tuesday and will last until 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Nasser Taha, head of Mahala el-Kubra city, urged citizens to reserve enough water before the cut goes into effect.

Meanwhile, drinking water in Sheikh Zayed district in 6 of October city, Giza, was cut for 12 hours since Monday evening due to a sudden break in the main line.

The Giza Water Company said in a statement that water-loaded trucks traversed the affected areas to supply residents with water during the cut hours. It also provided a hotline for receive any queries.
