CAIRO: The Egyptian national handball team reached the final of the African Men’s Handball Cup of Nations after beating Angola 25-15 in the semi-final Friday.
The Pharaohs will face Tunisia in the final at Cairo stadium Saturday evening. Tunisian reached the final after beating Algeria in the tournament’s semi finals Friday.
The first half ended with Egypt leading Angola 12-8. Saturday’s win is Egypt’s seventh in a row after defeating title holder Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Morocco and Angola.
Both Egypt and Tunisia have already qualified to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games while Angola will face Algeria Saturday to determine in the third place playoff and to decide who joins Egypt and Tunisia.
