CAIRO: Workshops on disaster and crisis management will be held starting from Wednesday for more than 50 Egyptian forensic doctors, Youm7 reported Tuesday.

The training will be held at the headquarters of the Forensic Medicine Authority in Sayeda Zeinab district in Cairo.

Assistant to Justice Minister for Forensic Medicine Shaban al-Shamy met Tuesday with Wesley Robertson, the first secretary Drug Enforcement Administration director at the U.S. embassy in Cairo to discuss cooperation in the forensic field, according to Youm7.

The two officials agreed to equip the new Dar al-Tebb Forensic Medicine facility in Badr City, northeastern Cairo, with “state-of-the-art” devices.

Dar al-Tebb is being established over 5.3 acres to accommodate 500 to 1,000 bodies, head of the Forensic Medicine Authority Hesham Abdel Hameed previously stated.
