CAIRO: Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish received Friday a delegation headed by Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo Augustin Matata Ponyo at the SCA headquarters, Youm7 reported.
During the meeting, Mamish and his guest will tour the new Suez Canal project and discuss potential investment opportunities at the Suez Canal Area Development Project.
The project will be a world-class value-added services hub which will offer enhanced opportunities for investment across all economic sectors including logistics, industry, ICT, renewable energy, business parks and real estate developments and also in the development of infrastructure services and transport links, according to the SCA website.
Ponyo arrived in Cairo Thursday and met with his Egyptian counterpart Sherif Ismail before the two officials signed a number of economic development protocols of cooperation.
The Congolese Prime Minister also visited Egypt’s House of Representatives and met with its speaker Ali Abdel Al Thursday.
